A Caution About Copies, Knock-Offs and Wannabes
Some vital questions to ask:
Who makes the compressor?
If it is made from copies of Thomas Industries parts, or even made WITH Thomas parts, but not at the Thomas factory, it is NOT a Thomas compressor. Worldwide warranty will have been negated.
Who assembles the compressor/engine assemblies?
Only Thomas has 50 years experience making compressors; 16 of which are in the assembly of compressors driven by Honda engines. The competitor will be able to claim this in say -- AD 2,050
Is the compressor MARINIZED?
Whether in a salty environment, or not, your investment deserves maximum protection.
Thomas Industries is mentioned repeatedly in Air Line literature; how does that relate to the hookah business?
The Air Line, recognizing its limitations, went to an expert with the idea of developing direct-drive for the hookah market. The result was a reconfiguring and repowering of proven technology that works extraordinarily well for this application. The Air Line, therefore, owns sole distribution rights of the only systems of their kind, made solely for the dive market, by a major manufacturer. You can buy a Rolex, or you can buy a Stolex.
